easy as pie- cake mix cookies

1 box cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup- 1/2 cup canola oil
cake frosting
RAINBOW sprinkles

combine cake mix, eggs, and oil in bowl, and mix well. if the dough seems too thin, throw in some flour. drop rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake 9-12 mins at 350 degrees.

frost cooled cookies with cake frosting of choice, sprinkle with RAINBOW sprinkles :)

and munch away.

forever pretty

do you shop at forever 21? i’m not ashamed to admit that i do. i’m a fan of their “twelve by twelve” line which is full of bows, and ruffles, and lace- oh my! they currently have a contest going on called 12×12′s uncommon couture sweepstakes to win a one of a kind creation and original sketch designed by one of their international design team.

there is a “gallery” of outfits located in stores throughout the country, and you can enter to win the outfit that is featured in that store by submitting an entry form in person. i think there’s also an online outfit that you can enter to win.

why do i share this?

because i saw this dress in the window of forever 21 at my local mall, and frantically searched the store for it, only to be informed that it was not for sale. navy lace, black ruffles…and i can’t have it! *instant heartbreak*

here’s another creation, this one is displayed in a san fran store:

pretty hot

have you caught on to my obsession with bows?

i love them and the girlies who wear them: minnie mouse, hello kitty, blair waldorf…

how hot is blair in her oversized bows? as much as i’d love to replicate the look, a huge bow on the side of your head is a hard look to pull off. you run a high risk of looking more cheesy than chic.

my favorite way to wear an oversized bow is to pin one up behind a chignon. stick to a neutral color and remember to keep the bow off center so it peeks out slightly when viewed from the front.

big bows are not all created equal. stay away from crazy prints and funky fabrics. the simpler, the better. i especially love this one from hot topic.
